The Jet is placed in a sterling silver pentagram frame between two haunting skulls as part of our Gothic collection. The striking sterling silver necklace is inspired by many Gothic events held in Whitby throughout the year and hangs gracefully from a fluid 18 inch long silver chain complete with a classic bolt ring clasp for easy wear.

The pentagram is a symbol of a star encased in a circle, always with 5 points (one pointing upward), each has its own meaning - the upward point of the star is representative of the spirit. The other four points all represent an element; earth, air, fire, and water.The pentagram was also used in ancient times as a Christian symbol for the five senses, or the five wounds of Christ.
